# Summary

This publication proposes adding an additional CIAN Protocol address to the Flashborrowers whitelist on Ethereum, Arbitrum and Optimism Aave v3 liquidity pools.

# Motivation

CIAN is a decentralised automation platform that helps users to build, manage and protect multi-protocol strategies. CIAN has built many strategies on Aave v3 offering users access to:

- Leverage trading;
- Recursive yield; and,
- Arbitraging Perp and liquidity protocol funding rates.

Given [[ARFC] Add Contango Protocol, CIAN Protocol and Index Coop to flashBorrowers on Aave v3](https://governance.aave.com/t/arfc-add-contango-protocol-cian-protocol-and-index-coop-to-flashborrowers-on-aave-v3/16478) passed [Snapshot](https://snapshot.org/#/aave.eth/proposal/0x09bb9e7cffc974d330d82ce7a0b0502b573d6f3b4f839ea15d6629613901e96d) with 595k votes in favour, this proposal intends to utilise the Direct-to-AIP propose to extend the whitelisted permission to other CIAN Protocol addresses.

# Specification

Whitelist CIAN Protocol as part of FlashBorrowers of Aave V3 on Ethereum, Arbitrum & Optimism liquidity pools.

This proposal aims to implement a single AIP, utilizing three similar payloads (one for each network), which will call addFlashBorrower() on the ACL\_MANAGER contract.

This AIP grants permission to whitelist any CIAN Protocol contract for all use cases, such as leveraged positions, EMODE, debt and collateral swaps, with one exception: no smart-contract that migrates a position outside of the Aave ecosystem is eligible for whitelisting.

# Next Steps

1. Using the Direct-to-AIP process, submit a proposal for vote.

Upon discussing updating the flashBorrow whitelist with various teams, we have compiled the following amendments:

- A new address associated with CIAN Protocol across all instances of Aave v3 on Ethereum, Optimism and Arbitrum; and,
- Existing addresses associated with Index Coop and Contango on the Lido and EtherFi instances only.

Each of the mentioned team has expressed interest in integrating with these new instances of Aave v3.
