Summary

This publication proposes adding an additional CIAN Protocol address to the Flashborrowers whitelist on Ethereum, Arbitrum and Optimism Aave v3 liquidity pools.

Motivation

CIAN is a decentralised automation platform that helps users to build, manage and protect multi-protocol strategies. CIAN has built many strategies on Aave v3 offering users access to:

  • Leverage trading;
  • Recursive yield; and,
  • Arbitraging Perp and liquidity protocol funding rates.

Given [ARFC] Add Contango Protocol, CIAN Protocol and Index Coop to flashBorrowers on Aave v3 passed Snapshot with 595k votes in favour, this proposal intends to utilise the Direct-to-AIP propose to extend the whitelisted permission to other CIAN Protocol addresses.

Specification

Whitelist CIAN Protocol as part of FlashBorrowers of Aave V3 on Ethereum, Arbitrum & Optimism liquidity pools.

This proposal aims to implement a single AIP, utilizing three similar payloads (one for each network), which will call addFlashBorrower() on the ACL_MANAGER contract.

This AIP grants permission to whitelist any CIAN Protocol contract for all use cases, such as leveraged positions, EMODE, debt and collateral swaps, with one exception: no smart-contract that migrates a position outside of the Aave ecosystem is eligible for whitelisting.
