Due to expiry protection mechanisms on the Aave governance system, the Aave v3.6 upgrade approved and scheduled to be executed tomorrow, 16th January, will only be effective on Ethereum (Core and Prime pools), and not on the others (Plasma, Base, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Linea, BNB Chain, and Polygon).
More precisely, there is an expiry parameter for all governance payloads (each on one network executing the upgrade) of 30 days. Due to all non-Ethereum payloads being registered by the end of 2025 (Ethereum was registered later), the expiry parameter triggers validation, preventing execution.
To provide full clarity, this has NO negative implication, aside from v3.6 going live tomorrow, 16th, while 5-6 days later (awaiting Part 3 proposal creation) for all missing networks (Plasma, Base, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Linea, BNB Chain, and Polygon).
We will update the community when creating Part 3 of the upgrade with the missing networks, targeting tomorrow, 16th January.
