Dear Aave Community,
I’m excited to share that with support from Aave Grants DAO (AGD), Gitcoin is launching a QF Round on Gitcoin’s Grants Stack to further growth and development in the Aave and GHO ecosystem.
By combining Gitcoin’s expertise in community-driven funding and AGD’s deep commitment to supporting initiatives within the Aave ecosystem, we aim to create a catalyst for ongoing growth by rewarding current and past contributors.
The funds for this round come from optimism.gitcoin.eth, which Gitcoin has received from Optimism for our Retroactive Public Goods Funding (RPGF) program. As part of our mission to support values-aligned partners, we are distributing these funds to top recipients of RPGF, such as Aave Grants. We have recently partnered with libp2p for a similar initiative and are actively seeking other interested partners who have been top recipients of RPGF funds.
Together, we are thrilled to allocate $50,000 ($25,000 from Gitcoin’s matching pool, matched by AGD) to fund projects that will advance the Aave ecosystem.
Round Details:
- Application Period: April 23 - May 7, 2023
- Donation Period: May 14 - May 28, 2023
- Total Funding: $50,000
Eligibility:
- Any project driving value to the Aave and/or GHO ecosystems, including past AGD grantees with ongoing contributions, new projects, and open-source contributors.
Funding Priorities:
- Past grantees whose open-source projects are still active.
- Past grantees who want to propose new open-source work.
- Any project driving value to the Aave and/or GHO ecosystems, including past AGD grantees with ongoing contributions, new projects, and open-source contributors.
Objectives:
- Aim to onboard as many projects as possible to support various initiatives within the Aave and GHO Ecosystems.
- Increase engagement across social platforms such as X, Lens, and Farcaster, enhancing visibility and community participation.
- Encourage Aave and GHO community involvement through donations to projects, using donation volume as an indicator of engagement.
Gitcoin will guide AGD through the round setup process and provide comprehensive community round support. My team (known as Grant Ops) will provide general support throughout the round.
This round will showcase the power of collaborations within the Aave ecosystem. We can encourage community engagement and fund various initiatives by leveraging Gitcoin’s platform and AGD’s commitment to supporting impactful projects.
