Aave isn’t profitable enough to be distributing the money in the ecosystem reserves to token holders. There are lots of better ways to use that money like paying for grants, paying for oracles, supplying atoken liquidity on L2 AMMs like quickswap on matic etc.

I don’t think it would hurt to have cushion funds in the event of market crashes/corrections like we had Sunday and could even prove to be profitable. It would boost confidence in the token and the project itself.
