[RESEARCH] Physical Layer Latency & "Ghost Window" in Aave V3/V4

To the Aave Community, Risk Stewards, and BGD Labs,

I am Namito Murakata (lucifer0x0system). I am submitting a research finding regarding a potential architectural vulnerability in Aave V3/V4.

Core Issue – The “Ghost Window”
A physical synchronization gap exists between L1 block finality and Aave’s state-transition logic. The protocol appears to treat asynchronous block production as synchronous, creating a short temporal window where collateral integrity could be compromised.

Key Observations:

  • Time-axis mismatch in cross-chain portal transitions (0.1ms–1s lag)
  • Oracle stale-period exploitation during high-volatility events
  • Verified inconsistency in high-stress test environment (iOS/iSH)

This pattern shares similarities with timing-related failures seen in past cross-chain incidents (Nomad, Poly Network, etc.).

Formal Request:
I have attempted private contact but am now making this public due to its systemic nature.
I am ready to provide a reproducible PoC to the Aave Guardian, BGD Labs, or designated Risk Stewards under a structured responsible disclosure process.

I look forward to technical validation and discussion from the core team.

“I have pushed my technical capacity and my research environment (iOS/iSH) to its absolute limit to reach this conclusion. However, I feel my individual ‘wisdom’ is reaching a bottleneck in fully mapping the physical layer’s impact on Aave’s specific V3/V4 logic. I am sharing this now because I believe that only by merging my findings with the core team’s internal expertise can we fully solve the mystery of this ‘Ghost Window’ and secure the protocol’s future.”

“Let us complete this investigation together.”

Best regards,
