Routing Swap and Horizon Fees to DAO Collector Addresses

Greetings, Aave Community

Summary

Aave’s share of CoW partner fees has been routed to the relevant DAO collector address, and Horizon fee routing has been updated so that Horizon fees accrue to a DAO-owned collector address.

CoW has already demonstrated that Aave-related swap activity can generate meaningful fee income at scale. Directing those flows to DAO-owned collector infrastructure ensures the DAO captures the upside of a partnership that is delivering substantial value.

Horizon broadens the DAOs revenue surface even further. By bringing permissioned institutional collateral and borrowing demand onchain, it creates a path for a new category of credit usage. As adoption grows, that can expand the DAO’s revenue base meaningfully beyond existing markets, with the resulting fees settling directly to the DAO.

Together, these updates strengthen the DAO’s capture of both existing and future revenue in alignment with the direction set under the Aave Will Win framework, where Aave Labs-related revenue flows to the DAO.

Specification

The CoW fee-routing recipient address has been set to the DAO Collector address, bringing all CoW partner fee revenue under direct DAO collector settlement.

Horizon treasury routing was updated via a multi-sig transaction using the Guardian on Horizon, directing fees to the DAO collector address.

Disclaimer

This post is intended purely as an informational update on implementation and treasury alignment. It does not introduce a new fee source, and it does not modify the underlying economics of the CoW arrangement. It simply records that these fee flows are being routed from Aave Labs into collector infrastructure owned by the Aave DAO.
