Replace the stkGhoMigrator contract

Simple Summary

Aave Labs has developed a new version of the stkGhoMigrator contract that makes migrations more resilient. We propose to replace the current contract with the new version.

Motivation

This change is part of our ongoing commitment to the security of the Aave Protocol and its ecosystem. The new implementation is an enhancement of the stkGhoMigrator contract: it does not impact users, user funds, or the underlying contracts the migrator interacts with. The new version introduces no changes to the contract interface or function signatures.

Specification

The replacement consists of the following actions:

  • Revoke the permissions currently granted to the existing stkGhoMigrator contract.
  • Grant the same permissions to the new stkGhoMigrator contract.
  • Pause the existing stkGhoMigrator contract.

Once the replacement is executed, user interfaces and tools should route migrations through the new contract. We will coordinate with third party integrators to support this transition from the current StkGhoMigrator (0xC836143e39201698e7d543bCf21AfF3415aE4697) to the updated StkGhoMigrator (0x4C728397b9d5C8071d46229DF8823Ea2782124fb).
