The data from Messari’s subgraph shows that interest revenues to the DAO on Aave v2 Ethereum were roughly $52k on August 2nd.
Moving forward, when assessing treasury spending, I believe it is logical to consider only the operational revenues earned by the DAO and fees earned on the DAO’s yield-bearing assets, specifically excluding the yields for external depositors. Do you agree?
I also believe it would benefit the community to see an itemized breakdown of revenues (interest, liquidations, flashloans, etc.) in future analysis to mitigate confusion and encourage a more informed decision-making process. Thanks.

This is an example of a reason why serious people won’t take defi seriously. It is sending a signal that is the opposite of the direction defi claims wants to head towards.
Coming together to help one another? You mean reckless individuals who practically gave themselves too much wealth and then were allowed to take loans against it only to reveal it’s not solid and have to resort to OTC deals with a handful of other wealthy individuals to avoid a run on defi, making defi look like a joke? We’re now proposing to also be perceived as basically endorsing it? How many mistakes in a row is too many?
This basically signals support for such behavior, which is tantamount to encouraging it in the future. It’s a bit perplexing to read many replies in this thread.
Very reassuring for the future lenders and borrowers who look to defi as a solid solution to tradfi … Continue on this path and manipulation will become a blurred boundary.

It is disappointing to see @TokenLogic uncritically accept obviously incorrect data (daily revenue to the DAO), which during this most recent CRV episode, peaked at ~120k USD across all markets.
Normally, daily revenue to the DAO sits closer to $40k/day.
So a $2m CRV purchase would be closer to 50 days of revenue to the DAO than a single day as was incorrectly stated.
