Neon evm integration

Hello team, a year ago, a vote was initiated on the integration of Neon into AAVE, and it concluded with 80% of votes in favor.

A year has passed, and nothing has changed. The community wants to see Neon, which is a truly useful technology with great potential that few people see. Perhaps it will perform well in the future, but you’d better integrate it now!

Here are the advantages of doing so:

  • Fast EVM deploy into Solana. Neon is EVM-compatible, so Aave v3 can launch with minimal code changes and a short time-to-market.

  • Access to Solana liquidity. Wrapped Solana assets (USDC, USDT, LST/LRT, etc.) become ERC-20s on Neon, growing TVL and volumes.

  • Low fees, high throughput. Cheap txs improve borrow/repay frequency, liquidation efficiency, and arbitrage activity.

  • Protocol revenue upside. Higher volumes → more reserve factor/fees and better yields for Aave stakeholders.

  • Flash loans on a new rail. Cost-effective flash-loan strategies between Solana DEXs and Neon EVM DEXs drive additional volume.

  • User acquisition from Solana. Large, active Solana user base gets a familiar EVM UX via Neon, reducing onboarding friction.

  • First-mover advantage. Aave becomes the leading money market for the EVM-on-Solana segment.

  • Composability with Solana programs. Neon enables calling Solana programs from EVM, unlocking new products/integrations on top of Aave.

  • Robust pricing. Access to low-latency oracle stacks (e.g., Pyth/Switchboard and EVM feeds) improves price quality for risk/liq.

  • New collateral markets. Wrapped Solana LST/LRTs (e.g., mSOL, JitoSOL) diversify collateral and expand borrowing demand.

  • Real demand from apps. Payments, DePIN, gaming and other Solana apps can borrow via Aave on Neon to finance activity.

  • Lower engineering cost. No need to rewrite Aave in Rust; audits and maintenance stay within the EVM toolchain.

  • Joint incentives potential. Neon/Solana ecosystem grants and liquidity mining can accelerate the bootstrap phase.

  • Risk and revenue diversification. Adds a production venue with a distinct user/profile versus L2s and other alt-L1s.

  • Easier partner integrations. Existing EVM wallets, aggregators, market-makers and custodians can plug in quickly.

Why Neon matters now: Aave grows when we meet users where they already are—and today a huge share of real activity lives on Solana. Neon gives us a pragmatic bridge: EVM UX for our users, Solana throughput and fees for our traders, without a costly Rust rewrite. The DAO already signaled support (80% “yes”); picking this back up lets us convert that intent into TVL, revenue, and brand presence before others fill the gap. We can start safely (limited markets/caps, proven oracles), measure adoption (unique depositors, utilization, liquidation performance), and scale as the data justifies. In short: Neon is the fastest, lowest-risk path for Aave to serve Solana’s demand with the product our community already trusts! LFG!!!

I’m just going to refer to this one post I made. AAVE v3 Solana (when?) - #2 by EzR3aL

I am against this proposal.
