This temp check proposes a measured launch of GHO on the Aave V3 Aptos market. Aave Labs and the Aptos Foundation will run Metrom campaigns that grow stablecoin liquidity, allowing for increased borrowing without cutting the yield suppliers earn. Issuance remains on Ethereum, with CCIP moving inventory to Aptos under conservative lane limits so refills stay predictable. A remote GSM on Aptos holds native USDC for stabilization as usage builds.
Motivation
GHO is set to launch on the Aave V3 Aptos market, with integration complete and audits in their final stage. This brings a decentralized, native stablecoin to Aptos, building on a market that already succeeds on Aave with flexible liquidity and efficient capital allocation. The launch uses the same controls and supply channels that govern established Aave markets, offering the stability and reliability that users expect.
The incentives, delivered through Metrom, are structured to seed stablecoin liquidity that drives activity across the ecosystem, and support new borrowing without diminishing supplier returns. As these markets grow, they create more opportunities for integrators and DeFi users to access yield and Aave’s deep liquidity without friction.
Aave’s presence on Aptos stands to accelerate the network’s growth beyond what incentives alone could accomplish. Emissions Manager
Designate Aave Labs as Emissions Manager for GHO/aGHO incentives on Aptos, in coordination with the Aptos Foundation. Incentives will be delivered by Metrom.
