Introduction

Hello Aave community!

We are Wallfacer Labs, a group of product, governance, and technical leaders who have contributed to TrueFi, MakerDAO, and open source development projects (Waffle, useDapp).

We build and govern crypto protocols.

Our focus in the Aave community will be on building GHO, leveraging our expertise in on-chain credit and RWA.

Why us

We will support Aave with technical development as well as business and governance-focused initiatives.

Aave is a key piece of DeFi infrastructure, and we believe that GHO can play an important role in advancing the reach of DeFi.

We are current delegates at MakerDAO and TrueFi. We will apply our learnings from these communities to our work at Aave.

Building and managing a complex system such as GHO will involve many stakeholders and “human in the loop elements”. Leveraging our experience from our teammates’ experience at MakerDAO, we aim to streamline governance processes and ensure that tokenholders are represented in proposals.

Our Core Values and Areas of Focus

  • Simplicity - Governance processes should be transparent and easy to understand.
  • Sustainable decentralization - Managing undercollateralized credit and RWA requires complex “human in the loop elements”. While taking this into account, we aim to decentralize as many elements of the protocol and minimize the need for human interaction.
  • Stakeholder representation - As engaged community members and stakeholders, our actions aim to represent the interest of AAVE tokenholders.

By delegating to Wallfacer Labs, you acknowledge and agree that Wallfacer Labs will participate in AAVE governance on a best-effort basis and will not be liable for any form of damages related to participation in the AAVE protocol.

DELEGATE INITIATIVE

Main goals

As stated in our delegate platform, we will leverage our expertise in on-chain credit and RWA to help build GHO. Our focus areas for this initiative pertain to GHO’s launch and core frameworks.

Area 1: GHO Facilitator & Collateral Onboarding

  • Wallfacer will work to define processes for how new GHO facilitators and collaterals are onboarded (and offboarded).
  • Facilitators will play a key role in the GHO ecosystem. Our initial thoughts can be found here.

KPIs

  • We will work with governance to develop a framework for onboarding GHO facilitators.
  • We will build relationships with potential facilitators and work constructively with them.

Area 2: GHO Stability & Liquidity

  • Wallfacer will work to establish risk management models for GHO.
  • Properly managing risk while ensuring adequate reserves and liquidity will be essential to the success of GHO.

KPIs

  • We will provide guidance and feedback on GHO stability and liquidity.
