[ARFC] Aave Events & Sponsorship Budget
Vote Result: YES
Rationale
While we abstained in the previous vote as in our rationale here, we think AaveCo’s justification for the budget makes sense, especially to promote GHO and increase its prominence and usage across the ecosystem. Aave also needs to maintain its position as a top DeFi protocol in light of converging business models from CRV and MKR, the latter of which has been doing especially well. There is quite a lot of competition in DeFi and maintaining a presence is important. A budget of $550k with the rest rolled over to next year if not used offers flexibility to move things around and downside protection. Therefore, we will vote YES in favour of this proposal.
